How Do I Make Windows 2000 Hibernate with visionCLICK Installed?

The visionPROBE II installation program installs a parallel port driver called 'DriverX' on Windows 2000 and Windows NT computers.  This driver is installed and started as a Windows "network service.”

This 'DriverX' service apparently disables the 'stand-by' and 'hibernate' modes in Windows 2000, which prevents laptops from entering low-power mode. Fortunately, it is easy to circumvent this problem by manually disabling and enabling the 'DriverX' driver using the following commands.

C:>net stop driverx

The DriverX service was stopped successfully.

C:>net start driverx

The DriverX service was started successfully.

Stop 'DriverX' if you want to enable hibernate or stand-by mode on your PC

Start 'DriverX' if you want to use visionCLICK or be able to download and debug using FDL or using the csoc download or csoc debug commands.
